This week on The Land Show, Dave talks with Rick Norris, CPA in Birmingham who specializes in accounting for Farmland and Timberland. Dave and Rick discuss the importance of establishing a cost basis for the commodities on your farmland or timberland like Timber and Cattle that will grow over time. Dave catches up with Captain Dave Hare on Lake Martin while he lands some big Salt Stripes, Jeffrey Hardy shares his expert Turkey hunting tactics for early and late season. Lee Gantt and Dave showcase a rare property near Cullman that borders one of the few trout waters in AL. Jonathan Goode reports back from the RLI conference that was held in Dallas, TX last week, Jonathan is the current President of the AL Chapter for RLI. Dave fills in for Kyle Ingalls for our Timber Talk segment and lets us know that Timber prices are still high, but they will likely not hold for much longer as the ground dries up moving into Spring and Summer. And Robert King and Dave talk about the state of our Southeastern Farm markets and farmland values. Robert also gives us a valuable 18 month outlook on Farmland prices.
