This week, The Land Show focuses on the Tennessee Valley region and all that it has to offer. First, Dave talks to Southeastern Land Group agent Austin Ainsworth. Ainsworth, also the owner of Dream Ranch hunting and fishing resort in Guntersville, Ala., talks about the business and Lake Guntersville as a tourist destination. Next, Scottsboro resident Jack Gabriel highlights northeast Alabama, including caves, natural springs and geological formations found in Jackson County. Discussion of the Tennessee Valley region continues with Jonathan Goode talking about the Wheeler National Wildlife Refuge and the history of Joseph “Fighting Joe” Wheeler the only American general who served with both the Union and Confederate forces. Tim Baker talks about the Decatur area as having some of the most productive crop land in the state, as well as the evolution of the city of Huntsville. Russ Walters gives an update on commodity prices, and Capt. David Hare gives a fishing report from Lake Martin.
